Our story
Sruthi started teaching in 2014. Since then she has been a university peer tutor, a peer tutoring leader, a university teaching assistant, and a private tutor for tutoring companies and an educational nonprofit.
Those years showed her what works, and what too often doesn't. Many tutoring companies charge for the hour a student spends in class, and that's where the support ends. There's no follow-up and no feedback. When a student gets stuck midweek, there's no one to ask. Parents are left guessing about almost everything: what the charges on their bill are for, what happened in sessions, and whether any of it is working. Tutoring had become a black box.
In 2022, Sruthi founded tutoringwithsruthi to open that box. She built it on one belief: students do their best work when they truly understand the material, not when they've memorized their way to the next test. Working on her own meant she could teach that way. She built deep roots in each concept and stayed with students between sessions, answering questions when they got stuck and creating resources for whatever came next.
As the practice grew, so did what it offered. After four years, Sruthi founded learningwithsruthi to bring everything together on one platform, with transparency built into every part of it.

Our growing library of free resources and guides helps parents and students navigate it all, whether or not they ever book a session with us.
And that changing world is exactly why our approach matters more than ever. Today, answers are free. Any student can ask an AI and get one in seconds. What they can't get that way is understanding: the ability to reason through a problem, recognize when something doesn't add up, and ask the right questions in the first place. Those are the skills that will set students apart in school, in college, and in a future shaped by AI. They grow from deep roots.
